I think its good to enjoy these cars for their intended purpose...to tear it up a little! There are plenty of 32' roadsters in museums, I rather see em' in action.

By the way are there any close up shots of the dash? I remember it having a auburn panel, right? Anyway...amazing car, looks like a total blast. John

    Thanks for the pic

Damn...thats a neat car. I like how dash wasn't even modified for the panel, just shows that most hot rods weren't perfect. Do we know what car the windshield came from? John

  6. Looks to me like a '37 - '40 Cad-LaSalle (or '41 - '42 Cadillac) Convertible Coupe windshield ... ???

FYI, there's quite a few threads here on the H.A.M.B. with photos of the infamous "eBay $1000 '32 Roadster"...

...these two from the '32 Roadster for a grand? thread:

That's great. I never thought "Tread Lightly" would be a hot rod term.

  10. At the risk of sounding curmudgeon... the first Video (Although Fun in any other vehicle!) looks like a group of teenagers "Gang Raping" a 70 year old woman...!

Glad to see her at El Mirage... that is most fitting for the "Old Gal"...!

  11. Uh um maybe I am off here but the skeleton is Social Distortion's calling card symbol. Its been utilized by the band since the middle 1980's and is still heavily used. SR is there hidden mythology I am missing about the symbol? I remember you saying it was just an inside joke out on the lakebeds that prompted you to place it on your cars.-Weeks

  16. Hm.... band members eh :D. I am a pretty big fan actually of SD. I got a little interesting story for you SR not now, but later. Sometime when my car is driver status I will tell you lol. Think "May Cuase Dangerous" as far as the little things in life we "see" and do and the names that just fit with the cars we build-up. Some may think naming cars is corny but I like the added character and notriety it adds to the car itself. I especially think its funny when you know inside info that makes it more pertinent and meaningful to oneself pertaining to something no one else really knows except family etc. of the band .-Weeks

  20. Sorry for dredging up this 6+ year old thread ... but I was watching this Dodge Brothers (circa 1920s) promotional film today:

... and it reminded me of the "naysayers" in this thread that thought @sr & his buddies were abusing the roadster.
