I just picked up a recreation 1964 Mercury Comet AWB that is lettered up as a Hayden Profitt car.

can anybody come up with some photos to help me verify that the recreation is reasonably accurate?

That is the 1965 SOHC427A/FX Comet if you are looking for a 1964 Hayden Profit car You will need to look for a black Plymouth.

I am thinking it is an incorrect combination of the 65 Profitt Comet and Nicholson's 64

I have an album with a band called Jim Head & the Delrays standing at the end of Lions Dragstrip - along with Hayden Profitt and is 1965 A F/X Comet Cyclone. I'll post a picture of it as soon as i can.
