Who make's a left turn when their ride isn't able to do so ? Guess you guy's never flipped a signal switch with the hazards on to see that's what happen's on an OE GM product after 1969. Not to mention pushing on the brake pedal. And yes Steve, the brake lights would look like one has their signal on if the signal was in either turn positions.

  2. There's those times when the car is running like crap and won't make the posted limit and using the flashers will warn the morons....

The 68 Econoline van my dad had did some crazy things with the hazard switch and brake switch. Hit the brake pedal and move the hazard button in just so far and you could play the radio without a key.

  4. OP is using 1157 dual filament bulbs in the rear. Therefore the parking filament on the right side parallels front and rear. The parking filament on left side parallels front and rear.

Using a simple switch to tie the parking right and left side gives a hazard function to the turn signal. Test it in 42 seconds with a piece of wire. Then decide.

Golly gee brake lights are NOT in the circuit and still function normally!
The extra load will cause flashing to be slower but purchasing a flasher designed for led bulbs with cure that as they are load independent.

As Bill Cosby said on one of his albums in the 1960s, GO AROUND IDIOT, GO AROUND.

With only 1 1157 lamp on the left rear and only 1 1157 lamp on the right rear can what I suggest do that. So you see that's covered as well. :D Edit - 2 days I posted this and no one has corrected it. Now I know how to keep things quit. Make up story that doesn't work.
