    Hello all,

I have an EZ wiring harness that I used to wire my 50 Lincoln. My quetion is that the Lincoln does not have a hazzard switch on the column and I would like to use a simple toggle switch for the hazzards. The hazzard wire is constant hot which makes sense but what would the other side of the switch be ran to???
    Any help would be apprieciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve

The hazzard flasher. Be careful though, a simple toggle switch won't work. You'll wind up connecting all of your corner lights together. When you go to use your turn signal, all of your lights will flash. When you want your brake lights to come on, your front signals will light as well. Get the emergency flasher switch from the glovebox of a late 60's Ford pickup. Look for a wiring diagram for it online.

You need a four pole switch. You can use an add on switch as mentioned, or just pretend it's an old car and doesn't have hazard flashers, which is what I do.

He's right, you'll let the smoke out of your harness real quick if you do that.

...at which point he'll no longer need hazard flashers.

  8. Add those all together...and then...no more problem!!!:D

But, yes, a purpose-built switch from another vehicle would be the easiest way to make it happen the way you want.

A four-pole switch, like squirrel said would be used to tie the left blinkers and right blinkers to the positive wire without connecting them to each other.
