just got back from the store. on http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=229943&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=14&fpart=1&vc=1&PHPSESSID= we've been discussing the new Rodders Digest and how hard it has been to find it so far. some have had good luck and some have had bad luck.

at assdragger's advice i checked one of the local grocery stores. THEY HAD 3 OF THEM! well, maybe every store in the country will have a dozen of them next week, but for right now it's like they are made out of unobtanium.

so i grabbed two of them and the first person who replies here and swears that he/she has NEVER read a Rodder's Digest gets the extra. free. no strings. just to show you what we've all been missin'.

some folks have done some really neat things for me this year and this is just a little bit of round about pay back.

Damn, and me sitting here with an old Rodders Digest on the shelf in my office... Guess I'll just have to pick one up at the local inconvenience store.

I've honestly never seen Rodder's Digest.

If I find any around here, I will pass the same offer on to the next guy.

    Can I have it? [IMG]

Wasn't one of the "Mosers" was it? Roger has been into just about every kind of Racing there is and his stores usually have a pretty good selection of Car Mags.

I know Roger was a part owner back in the late 80's/early 90's, but he sold his share of it several years ago. That doesn't mean he didn't buy it back though. I don't know...

He's not a bad guy as far as Rich people go, but he definitely has a "God" complex [IMG] I ran around with his youngest Brother through Highschool. He is one of Rogers Head Butchers now.

Roger has been into everything from Drag Boats to Oval Track. He has even gone through several Driving schools...

    Atch, glad ya found it!
Rodger sold the track a while back, another guy bought it and couldnt make it fly with all the other tracks around. The track was sold to developers that are going to tare it down and but a subdivision there!
What kills me is that track was there LONG before any houses were but of course you get the people that build a house right by the track then bitch about the noise every Saturday night....I hate that shit!!! [IMG]

I just picked up a copy at the local 7-11. Went through it in about 15 minutes. What's the big deal? Except for the picture of Denice in her bought rod, again, what's the big deal? Sorry I'm not going down on myself but, It's just another rod mag in my opinion. Don't you guys ever build anything?

I wasnt REAL impressed with this one either BUT, RD is by far the best writing in a mag. In the early days the humor and the real HOT RODS was what kept me coming back. RD was TRADITIONAL when TRADITIONAL wasnt cool.

It's $4.99, right on the cover, $6.99 CN. Lots of good "How to" articles, a couple of shop "tours", some feature cars, and quite a few event coverages. A jam-packed 98 pages. It's been keeping me "entertained" most of the nite. I'm still not finished READING the whole thing. [IMG] My hats off to Buckaroo, it's $5 bucks well spent in my opinion.

1Low, I think you might have Rodders Digest and Rodders Journal confused
