Technical Head gasket question

I just got some new head gaskets off of e-bay and I don't know what brand they are but they are steel on the outside and have some black coating on them. question is, should I use some copper coat spray or just install them dry. They are going on a 292 Y block if it matters.

 

My guess is if they are coated you don't need anything else.

 

I agree with 57 Heap. I recently bought a set of marine gaskets that were rubber coated over stainless steel cores.
As a sidenote, I'd be wary of using unidentified gaskets on a build because you have no clue what the compressed thickness is going to be.
