I brought some head light buckets at a swap meet a while ago, I fabbed up some alloy bezel's and recently mounted them on my 34 coupe, check them out. Glen
I've never had a lathe or the skill to run one, but I can appreciate the time and effort that you put into this project. The workmanship is top-notch, but with the aerodynamic shape of the housing, I believe that the bezels would look better with more of a radius on the outside edge.
I think those are excellent. Good look, and they are one of a kind. I have a South Bend Light 10 lathe so I know there is a fair bit of work into those. Well done brother.
The only other thing I'd do to them is paint inside the grooves the same color as the headlight bucket ends up being... Other than that awesome work. I play on my lathe on occasion and I can tell you have some time and energy in those as I don't see any CNC plug and play equipment there.... ..
I do agree with you on this, I want to round the front bezel edge somewhat, it would give it a more aero look, the only issue stopping me is I dont want to loose the outside diameter size ( if you can understand what I mean) looking from the front. I like the diameter of the original 34 lights, around 10 inches and these are only around 8 inches. Im worried that if I round the bezel they may look smaller in diameter. But I have been thinking about this for a long time and the squareness of the bezel is the only thing Im not happy with, anyway thank you all for the nice comments, Glen
