I put my wood kit in and was mocking up the sheet metal. Is the header panel suppose to go all the way up to meet the visor? In the picture, you can see the header wood. i guess what i'm asking, is there suppose to be wood exposed? Do i need to modify the header wood or something? Thanks for the help! Bryan
What year, (Model A I'm assuming?)? I just did the wood in my 29 Model A coupe, and the header is above the visor, and has a sheetmetal cover that you need to cover the wood. The 30-31 is different. I am modifying my visor to go above the header and blend into the roof since I am filling the roof with metal though. I think it looks weird having a header interrupting the front roofline.
my bad....its a 30 sedan. I filled my roof too. i was thinking i was going to have to shave the wood down or modify something but i thought i'd ask first. i have a picture of a 30 coupe header under the visor and no wood is exposed on it. But i don't know how different the coupe and sedan header wood differ though. Bryan
On my 30 coupe There is about 1/3" of the wood header exposed at the top of that panel. I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly. I put it back together using all the original parts around the windshield and a wood kit from fordwood.com. Everything went together pretty easily and it looks right...
The header should be the same if it is like a 28-29. Sorry, not sure how a 30-31 is assembled, there is a big difference in wood between the 2 styles.
