Header Wrap installation help needed

    Was told this was easier to use if the wrap was soaked in water first?? Any true to that or another ways of installing. saw some neat stainless steel wire wraps to hold it in place, any ideas on patterns and placement of the wire to hold the wrap.

    you heard right about dipping it in water. However, do you plan to replace the headers in 2-3 years? This was my experience with header wrap as it traps water and the headers rust out.

    Wetting the wrap makes it easier to apply and get overlap right. I used radiator hose clamps and they worked well. I did not do the headers since mine are coated for thermo anyway. A clamp at the beginning of the wrap and at the end is all you need. A few picsof mine.
