OK...so tried the Patriot header...driver side/steering box problem big time... Anyone had any luck with a header requiring less mods than this one? Using Anchor mounts for more height...can install forward or reverse them and slam the firewall... any help would really be appreciated.
I used patriots with 84 mustang mounts putting the engine forward with a 351 and only had to slightly simple one tube to clear steering box. I did end up modifying the collector exits by shortening and angling inward but didn't have to, just made for cleaner exhaust hook up. Plus I wanted the larger headers for my stroked 351 versus the Hedman 88400. I had both installed in my car. My photo album shows the difference if you want to look.
Thanks - Ill check out the mounts. I am mounted forward now with the anchor mounts. Have to lit the driver side up and see if I can get them in. Found single groove pulleys so hope to be able to use a mechanical fan. Thanks...
