One set I did for my lakes roadster, they go under the engine and out the right side of the car. Engine is a Ford Zetec. The other set I did for Steve Nelson's lakester. Engine is a Model B block with a 5 main crank, double overhead cam, 214 cu. inches. Rex
im lazy and have 0 fab skills, so i bought mine from www.lakeheaders.com ....great guys to deal with!
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but which Jimmy does this belong to? I've been trying to track down the owner of this thing for awhile. Anymore info you could share would be much appreciated!! Thanks! Scooter
don't know if you can see them in this snapshot just a simple set thread here somewhere showing the build...
I had to get mildly creative due to the fact that my engine set-back was several inches more than it should have been and I didn't want to cut into the firewall for header clearance. Below is a Speedway kit that I worked over. Here they are prior to paint, turn-out flange and final welding. Here they are the night I painted them. Sadly, the Duplicolor Heat paint I used lasted a mere 20 minutes. I have since learned how to paint headers the right way and these will soon be done the right way. Vance
This is the original set of mid-40's headers off my 28 dry lakes roadster that go to the 4-banger. These tuck under the car and not out the side. You can see the byp*** that would take the exhaust to the back of the roadster when driven on the street. Otherwise they'd be uncorked and used at the lakes.
