I was wondering if anyone had any advice as far as headers go i have a sbc 350 with a 274 cam and 10:1 compression. thats going in a 1935 ford coupe i was looking at the 1 5/8" block hugger's but a welder was telling me that 1 3/4" would be better does anyone have a preference or advice as to which ones would work the best

  2. 1-5/8" Primary tube is pretty standard for S.B.C. motors. The larger the primary the more bottom end torque you sacrifice. With that cam where is your torque band and how much do you have to start with? Also, cheep block huggers are not for performance, they'r just Glitter. Maybe ease of instalation, maybe.

the torque band stats at about 1600 or 1800 and goes up to 5800. i was looking at the block huggers because of the limited space in the engine compartment i dont think that i can really do anything else
