How about Jesse James' 36 Ford coupe? It cost the new owner $165,000.00 to take it home .....

Wonder if a hood was included with the car.

I talked to the guy who had the car there and he said they were expecting $50k,but hoping for $70k. Guess they got lucky. The car looked great....better than when I saw it at Mooneyes,a few years ago.

Seriously? when we saw it still sitting there today, we all commented on how Horrible it was. Nothing good about it.

Did Dave drive the Vette so you'd fit in? LOL

There was a hood on it today. But the profile still looks just really awkward, windows have a squashed look about them. Don't think it would have brought any where near that if it was owned by Joe Normal instead of Jesse

Maybe the buyer figured Jesse had pulled some hanky/panky in the back seat and some of Jesse's secrets with the ladies would rub off.

Dave wanted to sit down,so we went and sat in the bidders seats. It was great talking to you. I looked to see if we were in the background when they were shooting Jesse's Coupe, but the coverage was cut short.

I met the owner of this car at Ink-n-Iron last year. He spent quite a bit, restoring it. We heard it went for $21k when we got there, and I knew he was gonna be pissed! That car has a lot of history....Too bad.

The Royal Coach, this is a one off original 60s custom car that went into the shop new in '58 and came out in '62. The motor has excessive chrome and triple carburetor setup. The interior has Thunderbird bucket seats and beverage area for extra points at car exhibitions. The head lights are set back 1" in 4" extended fenders and the grille is a modified '59 Imperial. The rear fenders are finned 10" and have 800 hand turned ****ons added, with 8 cad tail lights and functional roof scoops. The Royal Coach is extremely well known in the custom car world. Its pedigree is impeccable, being originally painted by Larry Watson and upholstery by Joe Perez with body work by Art Lehnerd of Art Chrome Body Shop and being owned by Johnnie Taylor. The Royal Coach has been on many magazine covers, even on one with the Italian Thunderbird. The Royal Coach went on to become the 1963 California custom champion. This car is being sold by the second owner who has owned it for the last 25 years.

Too be honest, the paint showed quite a bit of texture and I think that is what killed the sale price.
