headlight brackets UPDATED

    built some headlight stands for the modified today.

    I used the left over frontal sections of the rear wish bones and some rectangle tube,

    like this,

    Using an old part to make a new and most classy part.

    bolted them down today..

    drilled the brackets and clamped them to the frame,

    used them as templates to drill the frame

    drilled the frame out to just big enough to knock a 9/16" head 3/8" nut in,

    chamfered the holes,

    used a piece of all thread on the nuts to protect the threads during welding, help square them up and to push against the inside of the rail if I drove them in to deep,

    repete for all bolt holes,

    cleaned the weld up with the grinder and bolted the brackets on

    Your awesome. I have a set of bones I am going to try this. I was wondering what to use. Thanks for all the great tech posts. I wish you were close to Texas. There is so much to learn from you. thanks alot
