Does anyone know where I can find a set of these bolts, nuts, clips. I am tring to piece together a pair of 35 Ford commercial lights that were pretty rusted out. They are 11/16-18. The thread size is not important to me but the rounded head and the rectangular shoulder are. I tried Roy Nacewicz but he doesn't have them, actually he said he has never seen them reproduced. Any help would be appreciated.
Those lights were used on 35-37 pickups, panels, etc. Ford never offered repair parts and the market would be too small to reproduce them. You're looking a friend with a lathe for the bolts and another set of lights for the clips, I'm afraid.
That's all I did37 kid said.....carriage bolts from hardware store is all you need, you may have to grind the square shoulder slightly is all. Cost three bucks for two....DIY!
I repaired some broken '35 car bolts that were hollow so the wire would pass thru. I took some 5/8" DOM tubing and threaded the outside 5/8-18, cut it to length and welded it to the head portion of the original bolt. Seemed easier to do this way than to try to drill a new bolt or reroute the wires externally. I have also seen the shank sanded down some and re-threaded with 5/8-18 instead of the original 11/16.
