Hot Rods Headlight relays.....why?

    When I wired my 46, I used relays and circuit breakers in the headlight circuit. Everything works great.

    One thing to think of is where you want the likely failure point to be. If you use a relay, it's less likely to be the headlight switch. An in-cab electrical fire is a lot more dangerous as far as getting the vehicle stopped and getting out without injury than an under-hood electrical fire.
