I have a cloth headliner coming and will be installing it my self, but I have a few questions for the experts out there. My car has wood bows and 2 metal bows. I know the metal bows slide into pockets in the headliner but the wooden ones do not. First question. How is the headliner attached to the wooden bows? Is there a seem with a tab sewn into the headliner and that gets tacked?
Second question. How is the headliner attached to the sides above the doors? I have a metal strip that will hold cardboard or wood, is it tacked to the wood and then windlace put over the top?
The wooden bows have marks were tacks were used along the front side of the bows.
