Just giving you guys a heads up as I am working on getting the emergency cable set up so I can get this 31 5w registered in Pennsylvania I found on eBay there is someone selling new unused kits for $72+ bucks and they normally go over $2-300 new. I’m on a tight budget, so this works out great I’m just hoping they are not Chinese knock offs or something. Hope this helps a few out, there are only four left.

The seller has a 99% approval rating, on 81,000 transactions. So it sure looks ligit.

Well, just let us know. But you know, if it's that cheap, where's the source and will Lokar back the product? The listing says the seller is in LaPorte City,Iowa. A small town. Any of you Hawkeyes know this guy?

Means nothing. You need to drill into the data to varify if its legit. Approval ratings on line, even ebay can be gamed!

It was $143 past week, pure chance I noticed it randomly this morning on ‘sale’. Didn’t see any negative comments from the 9 others that have already bought it. I’ll let you guys know!

If it’s legitimate Lokar I’d hope they’d still back up their products being unused (unless the is a specific storage instruction or expiration date), If it is a Chinese knock off, then I would completely accept responsibility and buy Lokar from speedway or somewhere. Unfortunately, there are no online deals or swap meets going on up north with the snow right now and at less than quarter of the cost it is potentially worth the gamble. I hope it pays off!

I’ve had good luck buying on the bay. Returning items and getting reimbursed was a snap on an item I ordered by mistake. I usually look there first when ordering parts. I few vendors even have free shipping.

Buyer Beware. Seller is noted for selling Chinese knockoffs. That said much of his stuff is reasonably good, you just have to be aware of what you buying. Looks good in the ad?

I think you will be fine with it, I have gotten some real good deals on the bay, and the seller has a high rating, I always look at the seller rating.

They accept returns so I plan to dissect and inspect closely compared to the parts shown in the manual and even the instructions themselves, I don’t want to skimp on safety.

Looks like a couple other people are taking the leap as well, only two left.

Could very well be someone who buys out the “out of business “ places , then sells off at lower prices to move stuff.
With good reviews on the product, if I had a need, I wouldn’t hesitate.

Looks to be the buy out case with so many from one seller, it is legitimate Lokar with a 2015 build date but it is stainless/zinc coated materials and with no seals that would deteriorate it should be good to go. Chalking this up as a win!

Thanks @mtpocket for the e-brake handle and boot! I need to open the drums and verify e-brake brackets are there and figure out how to mount but I have just about everything I need.

  15. Very nice piece. I buy a ton of obsolete Harley parts on the bay of E and have had very good success. Sometimes it’s the only place you can find stuff.
