Can anyone identify this heater box? It's in my '49 Dodge under the dash and obviously is not the factory one. The core started to leak, but I cannot find what the previous owner used.

I don't know, but I do know it's not easy to find a good round heater core...Chevy used them in the 50s, but that one is obviously MoPar

original heater was under the hood on those?

Do I see the name MoPar partly obscured by wires? If you take it off there may be an ID plate on the back somewhere giving the maker's name, model number etc. Not much chance of being able to order a new core but you never know.

I recall that some Toyota Land Cruisers had a round heater core in the rear heater. Something to consider maybe.
