My Heater core in a 59 E C has developed a leak. A GOOD LEAK. Any one ever replaced one on a 59 chevy with AC? Just wondering what i'm in for??
I would look for a Factory Service manual, buy it no matter the cost. It has all the information you will need. https://diyrepairmanuals.com/produc...FF7nyvQTSqq4-2j87oCJg7N168J0dQ1UaAnf1EALw_wcB
Faxon's Auto Literature in Riverside, CA has factory manuals but for '59 its a supplement that really needs the '58 manual as well. Both are available as reprints. https://www.faxonautoliterature.com/Search.aspx?c=14811
I replaced a heater core in an off topic GM vehicle a number of years ago. I couldn't believe all that I had to remove to get at it. My buddy claimed that all Gm cars start as a heater core rolling down an ***embly line, and then they build a car around it.
Kinda like tract houses of the 60-70’s. They delivered fibergl*** stall showers in the middle of the lots and built houses around them. If you’ve ever tried to remove one you know what I mean.
