My Heater core in a 59 E C has developed a leak. A GOOD LEAK. Any one ever replaced one on a 59 chevy with AC? Just wondering what i'm in for??

Your in for fun - but go with AngleDrive suggestion -you should already have a factory manual.

  8. I replaced a heater core in an off topic GM vehicle a number of years ago. I couldn't believe all that I had to remove to get at it. My buddy claimed that all Gm cars start as a heater core rolling down an ***embly line, and then they build a car around it.

Kinda like tract houses of the 60-70’s. They delivered fibergl*** stall showers in the middle of the lots and built houses around them. If you’ve ever tried to remove one you know what I mean.

  11. It's only funny if you're not the one trying to do the repair. Been on both sides of that street!
