Well this message board has always treated me great with getting answers to my questions. So here's another one: I'm flushing the cooling system on different vehicles I have and on the back of the flush kit it says to install the tee on the "heater inlet hose". I understand how to tell which hose is the inlet hose, but my question is why can I not install it on either hose. To my understanding, the whole cooling system is all connected together? Any help here?

  2. I think the idea here is when you flush the system and there is rust in the block or rad, it could plug the heater core, so if you install a flush T in the inlet, it will flow through the core then into the block and radiator and so on, If you want to back flush just the core thats fine to, just do it with the eng off, low press and both hoses disconnected. Hope this helps

The inlet hose is the one that is connected to the engine near the thermostat housing.
