Mine always match. When they start getting holes in them, I buy a dozen pairs of new socks, and throw away all the old ones.

I rotate them 180 degrees until I get more holes, then 90. Until they're two-piece style.

Thats kinda what I do, bought a bunch of those "Redhead" brand gray socks to wear, and since they are all gray all I have to match is the stripe (Red or black). Works really well for me...........:D

You guys got the OPs sock problem covered:rolleyes:. Now for engine color Paint one side green the other orange then see how it looks then paint the engine whichever color looks best:rolleyes::eek:
BTW one day my dryer will puke out several years worth of socks.

paint the bottom green, since it's truck, paint the heads orange, since they're from a car.

What color would result from mixing green and orange ? Back in my younger days I often emitted some of those colors after a night of drinking with my shipmates. Drank a bunch of those "****** Mary" concoctions made from tomato juice and beer at a local bar near Mare Island shipyard. Went back to the barracks and crawled into my bunk. During the night I heaved several times.

Next morning with my head aching I opened my red eyes and peeked over the side of the bunk to see the floor next to me......

    I thought I had hemorrhaged............:(

Thats the part im having a hard time deciding. Ive got a couple ideas but Ill have a better vision once its a little further along in the build process and looks more like a car than parts in a pile.

Ok, sorry for the "off color" remarks above. I'll tell you from experience that as you build your vision/version of a hot rod, it will usually go thru many changes along the way. If someone sets out to build say a "black 57 Chevy hardtop in a Resto-Rod manner, they are pretty well locked in on the color and what the body is going to look like. On the other hand, if a person is just building to suit their own tastes with mods they like............often they find that their tastes change along the way during building. You will come across other rods that have colors you really like, wheels and tires that you desire, maybe a chopped top thats just right, maybe even an engine deal that has more power but still looks somewhat period correct. Almost no ones tastes stay perfectly the same their whole life. I'd just enjoy the journey of building what you want and adjust to suit your tastes when it nears completion.:) Good luck with your journey......
