Matt, the 'ol Coal Bin looks amazing. Tell me about the paint. I know it was flat and you color sanded it to get that shine. What paint did you use and what did you do to make it shiny?
That is a great event. It's been a few years since I've made the trip, hope it hasn't changed much. Post some pics.
Thanks! It was a quick satin black Acrilic Enamal NAPA paint. I wet sanded it up to 2000 grit and buffed it. Figured can't hurt to try. Turned out better than I expected. It is far from nice paint (does look better in pictures), but it looks like it could be older paint with flaws, scratches, buffed through areas. I'm pretty happy with my bodywork. . With 4 kids it's the perfect paint job ;-)
Thanks! I brought my 6 year old son with me, we got there around 7:30, so when he was ready to go at 10:30 we blasted. Got to keep him liking car shows!
Lier, lier, pant's on fire! ~ Hot weather don't stop you from going and doing a great job of chronicling the show! HRP
Yes it is or was, its been a while for me. Three stages, assortment of music, burlesque, side show acts and cheap beer all weekend long. All in a cool old building. Oh yeah, The car show on main street is great.
