Well, we're in full swing on the jamming session to finish Helen Wheels for Eyes On Design. Here are some photographs of the chaos that's going on in the shop:

We ordered a new rear wall section from Alfa-Parts. When it arrived, it was less than stellar. So we decided to just make a new one that fit the truck better. Nobody will really ever see it once the bed is on, but we know it's there:

Rocco's been slaving on the grill shell, all hand made except for the donation from Edsel Ford:

Since I'm not the master with the e-wheel, I'm on the mill and Tig. Custom radiator is almost done, and I'm machining up this beauty since Weiand only made the 8x2 supercharger topper for one year and no one is willing to let one go:

The cab is over at the painters. Vince (The Paint Spot) said when he started painting everything, it would be in the booth for FOUR days! I couldn't believe that. He's the man, and I know it'll be top notch. We've got a surprise for the owner, and we're not letting on what it is to anybody. It'll be a cool detail that we hope everyone thinks is cool. I'm going to get started on the headers this Monday so we can get them off to the chromer.

    that is looking awesome.
wow it must be great to have customers who are willing to pay for real craftsmanship. .
That truck is going to have a real "presence" to it, the nose and tailight treatment are pure sixties drag-showmanship!

oh and i wish i had that many clecos! i always run out.

I got the radiator mostly done last night. I'm going to leave the top and bottom flue shields off until after I get it pressure tested. It has to be the largest radiator I've ever built.

The cab back looks spectacular. Has Steve spent some time in Zimbabwe? Anyway, he's obviously a skilled craftsman. Nice Cleco collection!
