Hey everyone, I'm new here. My name, as you probably guessed is Allen, and I've been wanting a vehicle that belongs here for quite sometime. Well, it looks as if that time has come.. Tomorrow morning I'm going to pick up a pair of 1950 Ford F1s. One, a builder, the other a parts truck. I'm very excited, and looking forward to my new project. I've always been a Mustang guy, and owned them from 64 1/2 up to modern cars, with most being foxbodies. I currently own a turbo 92 that makes in the neighborhood or 500 hp. I also just wrapped up a build on an 87 for my son who is driving it to high school. This truck will be a nice change of pace. I really can't wait!

Welcome to the Hamb Allen. Take some time and look around. There are plenty of threads on the F-1's. Dino64 here on the Hamb even has some parts for them He'd like to give away. Tim

Hey Allen, welcome to the HAMB. An old f1 should be a pretty nice build. If I recall, there's a pretty good aftermarket. Post some pics once you get on with it.
Another word to the wise, if you do a frame swap or something like that, keep it under your hat here on the HAMB. Disc brakes and such are OK , but certain things are frowned upon.

Thanks fellas. Thank you for the heads up on OT. I'm actually familiar with the static that occurs here over later model suspension swaps. What I have in mind honestly is keeping what's there, only lowering it. And yes, brakes will be upgraded.

Something like this is what I have in mind:

Overall, that's a nice looking truck. What I can't figure out is why so many folks can't (or won't) fix those "droopy door handles".

Welcome! Check out my thread on putting F100 brakes on my 40 Ford pass car, it had been a simple swap.
