Obviously I am new here or I wouldn't be in this thread. Highlander referred me to this site and I cant believe it! I am a design/ product engineer. Before that I was a fabricator/ Mechanic. So Now I get to do my wrenching at home on my own toys. My current project is a 58 F-1 , the bastard of all Ford Trucks. And that why I love it. The dual Headlights and Chrome. Welcome quicklilpony and I too am a LOVER of those '57-'60 F100's '58 is my favorite too. I sold my '60 last December and would kill for another one, I've owned one from each year.
Hey Quick, you need to run over to Tecumseh at some point because the guys at Ididit were working on one from around 57 or so. They're sure to have all the stuff you need sooner or later. It has been in a few of the mags now so it might be one of those project trucks that gets passed around. Those trucks are ugly as hell. I want one in a Panel Delivery! Black, cast spokes with white walls, gasser, subtle like that. Watch out for Highlander. He'll get your head spinning with ideas in no time!
