I'm a new member here. I do body and paint work for a shop that does hot rods and antique restorations. I finally got around to picking up a project for myself (a 1951 Caddy Coupe De Ville) and started poking around for some info when I came across this site. It seems like there are quite a few knowlegable folks on here and I look forward to absorbing all that I can from you and (hopefully) helping some of you out as well.

As far as what I want to do with the car, I'm thinking about a restomod. The Caddy has a great look to it, so I'm leaving the outside largely alone. I want to put in some modern conveniences like A/C, power steering, power disc brakes, etc. and most likely, some mods to the engine. I want a car that looks nice and performs, but I can still comfortably take on a long trip if I want. Of course, I'm just starting the project so this may all be subject to change as I move along.

Thanks for having me and I look forward to chatting with you all.
