Hey all, I’m a newbie. I guess like many others here, I've been a gear head all my life. My first car was VW dune buggy but it was burning and leaking oil so bad I couldn't have any fun, so I freshened my first engine at 12 years old. It was crude and done in the wood shed but it worked. Those were the days, cruising the bush trails and sand dunes with my buddies. Then moved on to stock cars and several late 60’s muscle cars, lots of fun. The last car I had was a 70 Monte Carlo but some prick stole it right out of my driveway. Now after a 10 year pause from the hobby I'm now putting together a 35 Hudson. I was inspired by friends asking me if we named our son "Hudson" after the car maker. Didn't know allot about them but it has been fun learning. So after 3 years hunting purchased basically just a body shell, it has been an adventure finding parts. The people I have meet in the process have all been great. Just like the group here, what a fantastic web site. Thanks to all
welcome. i love it when other hudson folks join up. hope you can join the hudson essex terraplane club too.
Yes, welcome. I'm also rodding a 35 Hudson, but am a long way from you. I'm on the west coast of Australia. I've picked up a pretty good body from the desert and am stripping it down to the chassis. I've also found it interesting and difficult to get parts, but now I have most of what I need. There are some good people out there, and it is worth cultivating the friendship. I also have a 72 Chrysler Valiant and my wife is about to start on a 38 Plymouth P5. Stay in touch!!
