I'm new to HAMB , 50 years old from California , love sprint cars , midgets, hot rods / rat rod , Y-Block fords & any VINTAGE race car. Been looking for a old belly tank land speed car from the 1940's & 1950's , I posted it last week but for some unknown reason they pulled the post , WAS UP WITH THAT ?????? Everyone says how friendly the folks at HAMB are , but to pull the post & not say why. Don't sound to friendly to me?????
Didn't see that post but expect it was on the wrong page. This page is for intros--it's not that folks here aren't friendly, they are just not into r-- rods. Rats are for shooting.
Hot Rods and Kustoms .................don't use the nasty word of "R.." There are thousands of friendly folks here on the H.A.M.B. Welcome to the H.A.M.B. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
......Yep.....Use the "R" word here......and it will bring you all kind of trouble......treat people here with respect and they will return it to you......
R word???? you mean RAT as in RAT ROD I've owned a few , They have their own charm & beauty. Not everyone has deep pockets to have a fancy paint job or the top shelf parts. I'm the son of a STEEL SMITH. Some of the coolest parts we had were the ones we modified or out right made in our garage Didn't mean to offend anyone
The focus on craftsmanship and ingenuity are qualities that make building HOT RODS a great pastime. On the other hand shoddy workmanship and unsafe construction is something that the "R" word is associated with. Weather or not they have "Charm" is not the issue here. That said.......Welcome from Connecticut
amazing, i bet alot of guys have the rat rod kind of car, that look at and post on this site, either get over it or get one, other wise you will never know, if you dont like the name call it what they used to be called hot rods
Well, to be fair, RYAN owns this site and HE says no rat rods on this site. Even discussing it, attracts more pack rats and next thing you know, we will have to call in the Pied Piper ...
I don't have a R.. ROD fixation , It sounds like you all do. Just because you can't see your reflection in the paint... doesn't mean it ain't a HOT ROD. Enough with this R word garbage.... I'm on HAMB looking for a little help finding an old Bonneville Belly Tank car. Look at my profile photo , that the car I'm looking for. The JERAULD SPEED SHOP #166 O class in 1952/ JERAULDS AUTOMOTIVE #45 A class in 1954. It is the same car , just a different number & the shop changed the name If you've seen it , Know where it is , have any history , info or photos , I would like to hear from you.
bigdaddyusmc. It seems everytime you hear something you don't like, up comes the "Last edited by BIGDADDYUSMC" and then the following posters post doesn't make a lot of sense. Is that the plan or what?
LIFESTYLZ. I'm just trying to find a few old race cars , not get into a pissing match with someone that has noting to offer..... Everyone on HAMB has been COOL ,but you. Whats your problem.
1st ,, Welcome to the HAMB, 2nd,, If you would make a new thread about your wants in the main section, you will have lots of people looking at it, not so many here in the intro section
Welcome to the H.A.M.B. from Nor Cal and the Cam-Snappers Hot Rod Club! Check out the New club group! Love to have ya! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=619
Hi everyone! My son Bobby told me about this website, and despite the fact that he said it was a great site, I decided to become a member anyway!
Hehehe, determined ain't he? I try to not get all bent out of shape just because somebody likes a different type of car than I do. Play by the rules and all will be well. Like the previous post, place your wants in the "wanted" section and see if anyone can help with your search. Happy rodding whatever your taste!
Did you ever find any photos or info on this car? The JERAULD SPEED SHOP #166 O class in 1952/ JERAULDS AUTOMOTIVE #45 A class in 1954. It is the same car , just a different number & the shop changed the name
