Thanks for accepting me into your forum, I've got a 1951 Chevy 3600 pickup that I've been starting to work on. In general it is pretty good condition, it's been garage kept most of its life, only has 39000 miles on it and was driven by a little old lady ( my Grandmother ) in addition to being a farm truck. I've inherited it from my father and have it in storage for the last eight years, finally have gotten it out of storage and have started to get it back into "road worthy" condition. The engine is the original 216, and is actually in excellent condition, ( Dad used to have a GMC dealership and had it pulled out and freshens up weather it needed it or not ) so it runs great! The brakes are out, I believe the master cylinder is bad and have been wanting to update it to a dual master with a power brake booster but haven't found any one that can confirm if their kit will work with the stock 4 speed configuration. Anyways enough of my story, My hope is that I'll be able to learn something from you folks!
Call up cl***ic parts of America. I ***ume you want to keep the mc under the floor. I've used a bracket and small dual diaphragm booster from them that will fit fine with the 4 speed. With a dual mc you can also convert to disc brakes if you so choose. They also sell kits to move the mc and booster to the firewall Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
