Hello from a long time UK lurker, first time poster

Hello from the (sometimes) sunny North East English coast.

I've been a very long time lurker, shamelessly using this fantastic resource to eventually influence my decision to buy a '50 Ford Shoebox. It's currently in a container on a boat somewhere off the coast of Virginia.

Plans are a mild period custom, so ride height, period style flathead hop up parts, paint, interior etc to end up with a nice weekend driver

Small world Charlie, we’re staying in one of the fishing lodges in Old Leake in the summer!

 

Welcome to the HAMB from Illinois, USA.

 

We are only about 1/2 mile from there. Kettle is already on. The guy who owns the lodges has built a Roundhouse, and, we can see it from our house. BTW we are IN Old Leake.

 

When are you coming? We have a car meet at a local pub on the last Thurs. of the month The 27th this month.

Sorry Charlie, totally forgot about meeting up! I enjoyed the exciting facilities of the Old Leake Co-Op and a giant gammon steak at The Bricklayers Arms but apart from that I was sat next to the fishing lake at Lakeside Fishing Retreat
