Hello- The Forties here wanting to say Hi All, and express in advance my thanks for all that has been done/shared, and will be done/shared at this site, the Internet is a great thing sometimes, this being one of them. Close to 60, just completed a 455cid swap into my 1969 Cutlass, now thinking about my fondness for the decade 1940-1950. I wasn't around, but have a great appreciation for the things this country accomplished then, and the style that carried over from the 1930's, postponed by the war, that car's and trucks had. Hey plenty of cool designs in the 1950's and '60's too, but having grown up with WB cartoons that were made in the 1940's and '50's, and the movies from that period, that design era holds a special place with me. Am wanting to build a Panel Truck from that time, on a modern chassis to pile the dogs, camera's, sleeping bag and "stuff" into and tour the country, upon retirement should the Almighty see fit to let me do that. So again, thanks in advance to letting me learn from what you all have already done, and will do. Dave
