I stumbled on your website the other day trying to find more info for the 144 in my inline six '63 Falcon. I'm now looking for a 200 to drop into my '63 to give it a little pep mainly because, according to the title, over 231K miles, so I've got some work to do to get it road worthy when I get back to KY in about a month. Look forward to cracking some of the knowledge you guys have on the old inlines.

One word, Ledgendary Ford Magazine. They do a wonderful job on Fords, had an issue july/august 2008 all about 6 bangers. Classic Inlines would be one place to start, I think if you just search inline 6 you may come up with a few. Lot of the article in the mag revolved around wether to go with new heads etc. Plus on a 6 banger more torque with the cranks full 120 degrees versus a v8 90 degrees.

Thanks for the warm reception. I thought for a day or two, since the internet here is kinda spotty, that I might be on a forum where i wouldn't fit since I have a '63, but no worries now. Looks like I got some travelling to do when I get back. 12 DAYS TO GO!!!

  19. Welcome and thanks for your service! Check out http://www.tffn.net/ they have a lot of good info on that 144 to 200 swap. The tricky thing is finding the right bolt pattern tranny / engine. If you can, get them both out of a donor car.
