my name is Maarten and i live in Antwerpen, Belgium for two years now.

i am 32 years and i dont think it will matter :D

i came from The Netherlands where i left my two 'brothers in car' CustomMachinesI and II, to gain skills in metallworking the oldfashion way here in Belgium, after two years i've finally found a super-job in the engineshop New Motoreco. too bad, not to much old'er' engines, but hey, i will bring them myself than. the basics didnt change, just the technoligies

two great guys from Canada, Vavavoomgarage and Loboy's Rod & Custom gave me the oppertunity for a dreamcometrue experience to stay and help with there bussinesses and introduced me to the allaround spirit for realsteal cars and hotrodding in Canada and the U.S.A.

now i am back and found a place to start my drivable projects. in short, i spend my free time experimenting metallurgy, and designing and building. will post coming time some pictures of work and cars, and a lot of questionz.

im going to sleep now, its 22.30hrs here and i need my head tomorrow.

    good night or good day!:)

i am rebuilding my flathead, and i am gonna turbocharge it. today i spoke a dutch guy from truckpulling and he's turbocharging engines allready for a long time, and he said to just take my original camshaft to run it. i just found a camgrinder to remake the camshaft and i wanted the intake hight and duration higher and longer... now im in doubt....

for my goal basic compressionratio (8:1) i will need to know the volume of the combustionchamber.. but to get max 'save' hp i want to know if i have to relieve the block and the head above the piston. if someone has good thoughts about it to make it easier to make up my mind i finally can measure the volume and order the pistons from rossracingpistons. anyone?

the stroke is ford 3 3/4 and the bore is going to be 3 5/16. i like to relieve it, because its a challenge but if it does more damage than good i will ignory that idea..;)

@dutch deuce, wait till you see my final result, its gonna be agressive..:D shortened, slammed and chopped.

btw just getting noticed of a deuce coupe body, with some work and without the trunklid (easy to make) and luckely i have allready a original good grillshell with good nos radiator... makes me wondering..
