Hello From Chicago Area-

Hello- I'm a guy from the chicago area, I've got a couple of cars, 55 chevy 2 door wagon, 62 chevy II wagon, 71 dart big block, and an 80 Z28.

I love working on everything, from old scool, to musclecars... it's all good.

I'm running a car show on Sunday May 4th in Melrose part, and would love to have a bunch of HAMB members there. Take a look.

Welcome aboard! I grew up in Cicero and used to cruise Ogden Av,Big Boy or Dod & Suds.Sometimes took in the drags at Ogden & Kostner late at night,I mean not street legal trailered cars.Also cruised Skip's Fiesta Drive-in.I believe it was at 1st Av & North Ave.Drove a lot back then,Sunoco 260 was 39.9 a gallon.I drove 67 Plymouth GTX conv.Right now I'm building a 50 Coronet sled.

Was there illegal racing near skips... I can't imagine... The next thing you'll tell me is that there was racing going on at the stockyards.

No the organized illegal stuff was at Ogden & Kostner.I never heard of any near Skip's,not that there wasn't any.I did see some killer concerts at the ampitheater next door to the yards.Hell,we used to cruise up to Mr Norm's or Nickey Chevrolet,just for something to do.
