I've been a member for some time, but since I decided to step up and make a post on Flynbrian48's T'bird build, I thought I should make an introduction. I've loved cars all my life, pretty much any and all kinds. I love customs, and have a great deal of respect for folks who put their spin on their car. My current cars are my daily driver 2005 Mazda3 hatch, 5 speed. Fun to drive, good looking and good MPG make it a great commuter. My wife drives a 2007 Prius Touring which I have a love hate relationship with. Love the technology, the MPG and I think it looks pretty good. Hate the lack of power and absolutely numb steering. I had hoped the Touring package would have provided more feel. She loves it, so that's what matters. The toy car is a 1960 Thunderbird Convertible. It's pretty much stock with the exception of 17x8 Boyd Coddington Junkyard Dog wheels. Three teen age daughters (one in college) means I don't have a lot of time or money to play with it as much as I'd like. If I had the cash, I'd redo the leather seat covers and perhaps do a disc brake conversion and lower the nose. Nothing too radical. I come from a line of car nuts. Dad's got a stock '56 T'bird and a stock '57 Eldorado Biarritz that has been in the family since 1959. Both and my t'bird were once my grandfathers, along with a 1937 Cord 812 Phaeton.
