    Hello all,
I've pulled the trigger on a 1952 Ford F1, 239 Flatty/3 on the tree. I am 1300 miles from where she's located presently, so I'm intending to have her shipped. As much as I love the thought of a take a week / take it slow & drive home adventure, I just don't see that being in any way wise without knowing the truck far better. She's seems to be pretty smooth running, a couple of gauges inop. The intention is summer-weekly local drives. I'm in a semi-rural ag town in Connecticut.

Was into wrenching years ago, but I took a bit of a sabbatical from my car habit days. I went from GM G-Bodies, Ford Taurus SHOs, to a Porsche 911, road course track days, supercharging things that shouldn't have been, grenading engines and trans on the track, then rebuilding; figuring out torsion bar suspension upgrades by just doing it, and so on.

I have not owned a vehicle or an engine this old however. My 911 was old enough to be ZDDP / GM EOS needing, so I get that requirement, but I'll be reading as much as I can until I can receive her here and start getting my hands dirty again. Need oil (valvoline I ***ume, though I used to use Brad Penn / PennGrade in the 911), and fuel inputs from the group, of course.

Thanks for the wisdom from those who are in the know, and we'll see you out there.
