Hello all, I found your site today and am happy to find the depth of discussion that I'm looking for. I have just bought a 1946 Buick Special. Straight eight of course, but due to a lack of water before I purchased it, it is now sadly just a straight six. I was lucky enough to be supplied with a spare '47? motor which at least turns over by hand. Hopefully we'll get back on the road quickly and then start playing. I'm a big fan of cars which you have to look at twice to see what has been done and this is the plan for this beastie. All the best to everyone, Mark K.
Welcome to the HAMB from another local, plenty of good stuff on this site. Theres also a couple of good shows on this weekend so get ya Buick out!
Welcome to the hAMB, and its good to see another inliner in Melbourne. Is you Buick a 2 or 4 door? BTW sometimes multi carb manifolds pop up on Ebay, and here, so keep your eyes open. Haven't got a spare set of rockers for the str8 8 have you?
Four door, and yes, I wouldn't mind looking at the multi carb option.. Did they stop production on earlier models?
