Hi Folks! I've been lurking and reading for a short while now and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Heard and I live in Central Florida. I have done a few old sports cars and owned a few old classics over the years. Recently, I have been looking for a 35-37 pickup project to work on. Last June I found one in ND that had been in the same family for 74 years and parked indoors since 1970. I negotiated a price and got down to the wire but one of the 3 siblings that now owned the truck backed out at the last minute. Too emotionally attached.... Dang it I hate when that happens! But you have to respect that. So I was on the search again. Found this really nice 36 3 window coupe and bought it. Some of you may know this car. It is a really nice car and just needs the interior finished. A couple of pics... [/URL][/IMG] [/URL][/IMG] Funny how things happen sometimes. 2 days after I bought this car, the lady calls me about the 35 Pickup. So....I couldn't resist. [/URL][/IMG] [/URL][/IMG] They said it came with an extra engine and*******. I thought, 'Wow, this is cool!' I never got a pic of the extra engine and******* before it showed up. [/URL][/IMG] LOL!! Anyway, I'll be asking lots of foolish questions as I go. My thoughts are to finish the 36 pretty much as is, except I think I may lower it some, put the side panels and bumpers back on, and new wheels. The truck...well it is very solid, but it needs everything. Now that's a project!! Cheers! Heard
