A great Hello from Germany! I am a reader of this Message board since a few years now. And I know, whatever I was looking for in the past, like codes, technical informations or pics, I found it mostly here. Whenever I typed a question into google, I found the answer here! Stupid from me not to subscribe earlier!!!! I started my first Hot Rod Project 20 years ago (I'm 36 now) with a 28 Model A Sedan. That time, nearly nobody in Germany talked about Hot Rods or knew anything about it. I learned a lot during the years, but the first Hot Rod project went to the yunk. :-/ After 2 Deuce Fiberglass Rods, I found my 31 Coupe, In 2007. It's my joy and pride, powered by a 289 Ford and a BW T-10 4 Speed. And just passed the german technical inspection we have!!! yeah!!!! At the moment, I am working on my 1950 Ford Business Coupe. Hope to get it on the road in 2011. I'm glad to be here now! -Better late than never!! And I hope my english is good enough for a good conversation!
Ein herzliches willkommen from SoCal. Sounds like you're doing fine with your A. How extensive is the inspection?
Welcome, From Atlanta, Ga. Was in Germany this year, in Berlin, (Finowurt), at "Race 61" car show.....................Had a BLAST!!!!
Your English is JUST FINE, ....................Welcome to the H.A.M.B. firstnomad www.angelfire.com/jazz/flatlandstudio
Thank you, for the nice welcome!!! I just load up a few pics. The Model A looks not very radical, but that's the way i want it. I left the flat black and primer times behind ;-) I was searching for a nice unchopped Coupe and found it. I wanted the look of a 1959 High School Hot Rod. And I think that's it. And I love it!! I don't have much pics of the Shoebox, only a few details. Welding on the Body is finished now. badest area after sandblasting was the lower B-Pillar to the Rocker. There was nearly nothing left. @stealthcruiser: The Race 61 is one of the best meetings in Germany. Nice location and a lot of different cars. Haven't been there this year, but I hope again in 2011!! @69tincanfairlane: Guten Tag und viele Grüße aus Deutschland @wingman9: The technical inspection will check all. Brakes, steering, axles... electrical System... When it comes to Hot Rods, you first have to find a man who is willing to check all on the car and will give his Name to proof, that it is save for the street. They check all weldings, lines for brakes, gas... nearly every screw..... No chance, to get a poor build car on the street legal. You need modern headlights and have to pass Brake- and shockabsorber -tests Hope you like what you see!!
