Been enjoying all the great posts and build threads for awhile now and thought it was time to introduce myself. My name is Brooke and I have loved hot rods since I was a kid building models and reading the "little books." I bought a 31 Model A for $50 when I was 14. It already had a 50 Merc flathead and 39 tranny but I didn't have the skills, money or a garage to make it into the hot rod I dreamed about. I still have the original owners manuel I found under the rear seat. Now, 50 years later after a bunch af cars, Indian and Triumph motorcycles, and a 5 year career racing offshore boats I am finally about 90% done building my first ground up hot rod. It is a 35 Ford pickup with a sbf and 5-speed that I will probally letter up as a shop truck for my printing and sign business. I also have a 36 Ford 5 widow coupe that will sharpen my welding and fab skills when I fish them 35. Thanks to everyone for this great site and all the info that helps us all with our builds.
Since you are a Hamber now, don't overlook the Maryland Hambers social club.............. Will keep you up on nearby goings on.
Welcome aboard Brooke from Auburn Hills, Michigan...I am originally from Queenstown, MD, right up the road from you...and as a baby, my folks and I lived in Stevensville off of Thompson Creek Road...it's a small world ain't it?!?!

Since you're right over the bridge from Annapolis, mark your calendar for 22 Oct this year and drive your truck to the 8th Annual Jalopyrama.
