Hello, My name is Kelly from Nebraska. I am excited to be a member of the H.A.M.B. I'm sure when i start a build I will seek advice from this sight and its many members. I have been around cars and motors for as long as I remember. My grandfather owned and operated a Chevrolet dealership in Polk Nebraska and sold cars there until 1962. I grew up helping fix flat tires on the weekend and pumping gas. The Garage is still there today. The garage supported the last usable outhouse in town. When I was around 12 yrs old a couple came through town on a Sunday afternoon looking for gas. my brother and I were working on out lawn mowers and said we would be happy to sell the gas. He was a little surprised that there were no adults around but gladly paid us for fuel. When he asked if he could use the restroom we walked him to the back, opening the old two part back door and said 'there you go". He just smiled and when he was done asked if he could show his wife. when they came back, she took a picture of him by the outhouse. I'm sure they shared that picture for a long time.
