Hello from Mike in Brackney, PA. I have been a gearhead since before I got my drivers license. I grew up in southern California in the early 1960's and saw a lot of cool cars when I was a kid and that had a big influence on me. When I started driving in the early '70's I had a succession of modified VW's (I know, OT) and they got me into the habit of building my cars instead of forking over a bunch of cash to the dealer for a new one. Soon after I discovered SCCA autocross and did that for over 30 years, building a succession of cars for various classes. From meek little H-stock Beetles to a fire breathing E-Modified 327 Chevy powered Porsche 914. A few years years ago I found that my interest in autocross was waning and I decided I would like to build that nice street cruiser I had been daydreaming about having. So this summer I will be finishing up a '71 Nova (again OT) with a warmed over inline 6 and a 4-speed. I found the H.A.M.B. about a year ago and after lurking and reading for a while I joined up. Since then I have been reading and browsing to see what I might be interested in doing for another project. Thanks for reading my drivel. OpT
....Congrats on joining the H.A.M.B.....you're going to like it here.....enjoy the ride....Big Bad John
