    Hello
My name is Jon Thompson I am in my mid 50s. My wife of 37 years and myself live here in the "Live Free Or Die" state of New Hampshire. Just below the White Mountains in the Lakes Region. Where there is only 3 seasons, THIS WINTER, LAST WINTER and NEXT WINTER. Grew up in a Salvage Yard "junk yard", literally. I am a metal shaper by trade. Painted my first car at 14 years old, a 1966 Chevy Impala (I am sure I would not own up to having done it today) for my mom. Used to bomb around the family bone yard in an imported 1950s Datsun starting at 9 years old, yes 9 years old. First attempt at building a hot rod was an old model A pick up I think. With the exception of a couple of GM muscle cars in my teenage years I have always been working on other people's projects. My interest and passion has been and still is shaping steel and aluminum. Built most of my own buildings (too broke to have them built). Built a lot of my own equipment (too broke to buy it). We love our Pomeranians and Mixed Pomeranians always from rescue for the past 22+ years. Two daughters, one grandchild. Jon

    Welcome! :)

Metal forming is quite an art and takes a good eye.

Are you working on any projects of your own?

Thanks for the welcome. That Dodge truck brings back memories. My Father was a junkman. When I was just a kid he would take me in the morning to The Hudson Diner and or Dell's Diner on Main Street Hudson, Ma. The truck was his 1953 Dodge 1.5 ton with an old Manley hand crank body (my memory is not exact I am sure). It smoked like crazy. I was not old enough for school yet. The smoke would come up in to the cab but I loved going with him to the diner. Circa 1961. Jon
