Hi folks. I had been looking for a project to build a 50's or 60's drag car. I picked up a 57 ford 300 custom. Turns out it was an old street racer back in the day. I bought it from an estate. I asked the son if his old man had ever had it at the track. He said "Naw I remember he street raced it a little but mostly was always trying to keep it running to get to work." He was the 2nd owner since 1974. I don't have any pictures on me I can get em later when I get back in town. It WAS a g***er at one time but he put the stock gear back in the ch***is. Still has the old 63 galaxie 390 buckets and console he put in her. Lots of rust and it sat for years.
Hi Mike & welcome. sounds like it may be a bit of work with the rust & all but that should make a great ride when done. Post some photo's when you get a chance. Good luck, Jimmie
