After a few weeks of lurking, here I am. A little about me, I'm not quite 40, have a wife and two kids. My first car was a '69 GTO in high school, that I still have. The wifes first car was a '67 GTO that we restored together. The kids both race quarter midgets, and I have a dirt circle track car. The whole family is a bit car crazy. My brother has been racing since the 50's, and my dad raced motorcycles before that. I remember the first ride I got in a hot rod.. it was my brothers '29 Model A pickup. The most uncomfortable thing I've ever been in, and I've wanted one ever since. A few years ago I started collecting parts for my own. Now I have enough parts to mock up something that resembles an automobile, and my son (he's 7) is interested in helping turn it into something that runs. The truck is full of potential , but not much else... The doors are rusted thru at the bottom, I already have patch panels from Howells. The rear of the cab is shot, so latter this summer we'll be getting new sheetmetal for that too. Can't say anything bad about the wood... there is none. I do have three dash panels for it though... every time I buy one, I find a nicer one for only a few dollars more. Already started giving my neighbor my 'extras' in the hopes of gaining an allie. Would love to hear from any other's in the area. This thing is going to require as much inspiration as persperation I feel. I'll try to post some pic's as soon as I get them up on the web somewhere... Oh, if your intereseted here's my own web site http://www.passtimeracing.com/eric/index.htm Some stuff is current, some isn't. After working with computers all day I would rather go out to the shop than update a web page. Hope to meet some of you in person one of these days. Eric Aos
