Hello all! My name is Isaiah Gibbs from Independence, La. About an hour and 20 minutes from New Orleans. I have been lurking around on this board and decided to join in on the fun! I don't own an rat or hot rod persay, but I do have a Hot Rod Lincoln. Its a 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII 32 valve V8. The rat thing that I have was build by my youngest brother started 2 years ago and finished earlier this year for the World of Wheels back in Jan in New Orleans. We call it the Roach see it and other bikes here http://www.facebook.com/3gfabrications/photos\ A web site is in the works Me and my two brothers who are 18 and 17 build custom bike and bicycles and sell them and the money that is raised is going in the bank to help a lifelong mission work I am going to start in Madagascar, Africa. I am finishing up my 4 years of schooling this may and will hopefully be there in another 4-5 years at the most. Its taking allot of time, but will all be worth it!! So, I am excited to be here and if anyone is from Louisiana or the Gulf Coast Give me some info! We could hit up some car shows! Currently I am in Monroe, La. for school. North Louisiana.
Its good to be here! My parents are from the West Bank. South Louisiana is home for me! Some good cookin and great culture. Any of your Louisianians been to the Swamp Stomp in Galliano? Its a rat rod show with some great cars
Hello and welcome from Oklahoma. Be forewarned before someone roasts you here, this is a traditional hot rod site. They no speaky r-- rod here. Hang around though, there is lots of good info for whatever genre vehicles you like. Me, I like them all. Good luck on your mission plans. My nephew and his wife are in China doing mission work.
Thanks for the warning! I like me all, I do. Me and my brothers did a bike and really couldn't come up with a name for it, so we went with Hot Rod bike. It doesn't really fit to me. Maybe I'll let you all decide a name. I'll start up a thread for it. Thanks for the encouragement. Sometimes it gets a bit bogged down preparing, but the mission is greater than this, I know for sure!
