Nearing my 59th birthday, I've decided that I'd better get started if I'm going to build that hot rod I've always wanted. I want to build a '23 T roadster, hopefully with a real body. I already have a decent flathead for it, but only a '39 Ford front axle besides that. I grew up in a family-owned filling station/garage, but my career hasn't been in the automotive field. I'll have a lot of questions. Thanks for letting me in. Halrod
Welcome Halrod! You've come the right place. Flathead Ford (and many other marques) is spoken fluently here. I've a soft spot for 23 T roadsters myself. Where in So Ill are you? I've spent may a weekend just driving around the southern part of the state, tin hunting and enjoying the scenery.
Hello Oldcarmike. I live in the town of Bridgeport. We're just off of US 50, about 13 miles west of the Indiana border. Thanks for the welcome.
Halrod, welcome to the HAMB. I think you find a lot of people here who have a lot in common with what you plan on doing. Pretty much a great group of people here with many years of experience (good and bad).
Halrod, welcome aboard. I'm originally from Cumberland Co., been in Arkansas 21 years, might stay here. The old tin I remember around the home place rotted to the ground from the snowdrifts. Brrrrrr. Just got cold again!
