hi there i'm Misaeus, near 36 old, from Barcelona, Spain... i love '30s to early '60s hot rods and custom cars, also drag racing and lakes racing... but i need to admit i'm more into mid '60s to early '70s stuff, musclecars, street machines, drag racing... i'm building my '68 Road Runner old-school way... the way they used to build cars like this into street racers/street machines back in late '60s-early '70s... not too radical since it's a full street car, so, no 12.5:1 compression, no 4.56 gears... started with some Cragar S/S mags, high nose stance, Superior/Grant style 15" steering wheel, Sun Super Tach... now i'm saving for a dual quad setup to the 440 engine and a new exhaust system with some glasspacks...

thanks guys! i'm finding some very good treads here in the HAMB forums! i specially like the ones dedicated to vintage drag racing, the cool back in the day stories from some members and the technical topics. i'm actually from Brazil (with Spanish origins) and i'm living here in Spain since 1997... some pics of my project: first i replaced the Torq Thrust II wheels that came with the car with Cragars. just rebuilt the front end and installed a deep sump oil pan, so, now i need to adjust the ride height (a bit lower than in the pic) and align it. extended rear spring shackles new steering wheel and tach vintage valve covers that needs detailing. not sure if polish, paint black or paint aluminum color... some new orange spark plug wires
