Hello all, I'm new to the H.A.M.B. My name is Tom Green, and I'm an automotive machinist, and although I don't own a rod or custom I enjoy rebuilding engines for them. I not so recently made a 1954 239 Y block engine into a 283 cubic inch engine. The block was punched .125 over and a 312 crank and rods was sourced to make it into a 283. Lots had to be done to modify the pistons and crankshaft so they missed each other. I can't seem to find any pictures of it, but if I do I'll post them up.

  2. Welcome, Tom. I bet a lot of folks would enjoy seeing pictures of that engine build-up.

I had to get the pictures from my father, but here are three pictures for you. The intake manifold was later removed and kept due to a dispute. I am not a lover of the single color scheme paint job on engines I like to paint them at least two colors.
